Build Community with Women Transforming Cities

If you feel overwhelmed, you're not alone. One of the best ways to combat despair is to take action in community.

Women Transforming Cities is a membership-based organization with over 200 feminists based in the Lower Mainland who care about equity issues in their communities, building skills, and taking collective action.

If you value the power of civic participation in local government, advocate for equity-deserving genders, and want to collaborate with aligned individuals to campaign on critical issues, we invite you to join our community of changemakers.

Starting at $10 a year, joining WTC as a member gains you access to:

Online Slack Community: Stay informed about the latest civic actions in the Lower Mainland and connect with other members through resource sharing and meaningful dialogue.

Free Educational Events: Participate in Member Learning Series, workshops, and trainings designed to help you grow your skills in civic advocacy and deepen your understanding of equity issues.

Watch Council: Build your confidence and skills to engage in local decision-making. This program includes drop-in civic mentoring sessions, field trips to sites of resistance, alerts highlighting the latest motions and reports in Vancouver, and civic engagement resources.

Intersectional Feminist Book Club: Decolonize your bookshelf and read a curated selection of books centred on feminist literature. Members discuss books at social gatherings.

Volunteer and Engagement Opportunities: Get practical, hands-on experience while meeting like-minded individuals with a shared vision of equitable and inclusive cities.

Your membership not only connects you to a collective of dedicated individuals making change on the ground, but also sustains our programs and initiatives, helping us increase our impact and voice with decision-makers.
